Where each demo fits a lesson
Open a widget page for the iframe. These six cover the days that usually need something students can drag.
Drag points to show why the median resists an outlier and the mean does not. Good for the first week of the course and for the day boxplots are introduced.
Draw thousands of samples from a deliberately non-normal population and watch the sampling distribution of the mean go normal.
Project it while introducing z-scores: lock the z-scores, drag the mean and the SD, and the shaded probability refuses to move.
Run it live the day confidence intervals are introduced. Students watch roughly 95 of 100 intervals capture the parameter.
Raising alpha visibly shrinks the Type II region and grows power, so the trade-off is something students see rather than memorize.
Move one point and watch the line swing. Shows leverage, influence, and why a residual plot is worth reading.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use StatsLearn in my classroom for free?
Yes. Everything on the site is free with no account, no login, and no paywall, for you and for your students. There is no class size limit and nothing to install.
Can I embed the interactives in my LMS or class website?
Yes. Copy the snippet from a widget page and paste it into Canvas, Google Sites, Schoology, Moodle, WordPress or Notion. Heights are 560 for interactives and 520 for calculators. The front door is /widgets.
Is attribution required?
Yes. Keep the caption under the iframe: two followable links, to the teaching page and to StatsLearn. The credit inside the iframe does not count as a backlink, so dropping the caption drops the credit.
Do students need an account to use the practice problems?
No. Practice sets, solutions, calculators, and flashcards all work without signing in. Nothing tracks individual students, and flashcard progress is stored in the student's own browser rather than on a server.
Is the content aligned to the new AP Statistics course?
Yes. The course structure is transcribed from the official College Board course and exam description effective Fall 2026, the version with five units whose first exam is May 2027. Unit and topic pages carry the CED topic codes so you can map them onto your pacing.
